I was hiking in the woods
With all of my friends
A backpack full of food
And precious time to spend
Then it started to rain and everybody took off
They left me in the cold with just a sniffle and a cough

I finally found a hole
That I could climb inside
Went in with one goal
I needed to get dry
The cave opened up and to my surprise
Staring back at me were these huge red eyes

it was a, cavebear 
hiding in the dark
it wasn't very hard to see
it was a ginormous 
cavebear
ready to attack
looking for a snack
that tastes just like me

I wanted to scream
But nothing came out
The bear started sniffing me
With it's snout
I tried to run away but I was frozen in fear
The bear turned around and said "wait right here"

i must have looked confused
Cuz animals don't talk?
"you woke me from my snooze"
she said "it's only 4 o clock."
"it's hard to hibernate and wait for winter to end
but now I'd like to spend it with my tiny new friend"

she was a - cavebear
at least 10 feet tall
a giant hairy ball of fur
she was a humongous
cavebear
looking for a friend
somebody to spend
the winter with her

she brought me a blanket
and some hot soup
so i pulled out a steak bit
and shared it with her too
we started playing board games and singing some songs 
she asked me with her big sad eyes  "can we please hang out all winter long?"

although it sounded like the best idea we ever had
i started thinking of how i miss dear old mom and dad
i'm guessing that they're stressing and they're missing me too
cavebear understood and knew exactly what to do

and that's when
cave bear - told me to hop on
"i'll take you to your mom and dad,
just hold on tight"
cavebear 
ran so very fast
I wanted this to last 
for the rest of my life
cavebear will you stay with me?
join my family
my parents will not mind
cavebear
now you have a home
you'll never be alone
and we'll hang out all the time
